Ask questions.

There was just a shooting.

Please, take a moment to help the loss of life not go in vain.
Ask questions.
Make conclusions.

9 dead.
5 injured.

A shaggy haired, self deprecating young man took an assault riffle into a mall and sprayed into the crowd.

The media scrambles.
They send their vans, their crews, they get the graphics, then they hit the start button on their washing machines. They put the stories into the spin cycle and let their ideas wash over you.

The truth is in details.
If they give you enough details then it is the truth.

We have a few media outlets at the scene, and fewer able to tell their story on TV. The internet is booming with bloggers going on about what happened.

I ask, what does this mean in the terror-stricken America?
Malls are one of the few places that don't search through every item we carry in. Because of this, the mall is filled with different cultures. The punks who hang out, stare, laugh, linger, and loiter. They frequent Spencer's and Hot Topic, and sulk around in corners. The consumer, who is there to shop, shop, shop. They tend to be overweight and ill-informed about the products they are buying. Then there are the couples from every crowd, the fashion whores, the giddy pre-teens, the giddy teens, and the giddy-young adults.

Now we come in with our small belongings, and don't get nor need to be searched.
Soon, will there be searches on our property as we enter malls? Strip Malls? Every store?
If the punks don't have the ability to wear their metal, it would take away from their culture.

So on so forth.

Think. Ask. Think.
